Short biography

Distinctions

Born in Montreal in 1965, my training in Fine Arts led me to study great masters such as Rembrandt, Fantin-Latour, John Singer Sargent, William Bouguereau and Jean-Baptiste Siméon Chardin. This was the beginning of a beautiful adventure that led me to the discovery of a fascinating world.

Creation of my work is always inspired by an object which fascinates me or that moves me. My sources of inspiration are varied, but my objective always remains the same: emphasize the beauty of the objects around me.

Nowadays, I enjoy working with both oil and dry pastel. Its dusty texture and its velvety effect entice me. As for oil, it allows texture effects that are note possible with dry pastel.  I explore all subjects, but still life as well as portrait inspire me most. I find them very challenging and stimulating.
